Four on Six is the last shawl in the series of knit::purl shawls that only use knit and purl stitches. This pattern is my tribute to a jazz guitarist Wes Montgomery and his gorgeously mathematical tune “four on six”.

Essentially, it’s a boomerang shawl that uses of a rib motif of varying widths. This simple pattern lends itself as a perfect medium for speckled, variegated and tweed yarns. The shawl can be made in thicker or thinner weight, but of course – the size will be affected. The shawl is reversible and there is no wrong or right side!

There is a sorta matching hat here!
