Fractures in stone, dislocation and shifting plates inspire the Fractal Shawl with directional stitch movement echoing fault lines and the subtle displacement of rock under pressure. A classic ripple pattern is re-imagined in three interpretations evolving from a chevron styled solid to the openness of Arrowhead Lace.

The Fractal Shawl is a generously sized semi-circular wrap worked from the center of the upper edge outward. Directional increases are used to create a flared edge that is three dimensional in fullness.
