Francesca is the sixth of the Bridgerton children and stars in the sixth book, When He Was Wicked. Her sock is worked cuff down starting with a tubular cast on, two color lateral braid, faux cable color work, yarn over columns, and color work cables.

The faux cable colorwork patterns are separated by cables and yarnover columns. Options are included to work a plain or colorwork heel. The color work heel can be worked with either chart A or B.

Often when I’m making color work socks (or mitts) it’s easy to pick which colors to use, but I end up torn between which color should be color 1 vs color 2. Francesca solves this quandary by reversing the color pattern for the leg back and sole.

Pictured socks are size large with a color work heel flap and Chart A on the instep.
