Design:
The Dress has a frilled hemline, lacy pattern and a cable-effect yoke (no cable needle required). The front, back and sleeves are knitted separately and then slipped onto the same needle to complete the yoke. Stitches are picked up for the back buttonbands.

Sizes:
1 sizes to fit doll 31-36 cms or 12-14 inches Also suitable for a premature baby.

Yarn:
The pattern uses double knitting wool (an alternative yarn for overseas knitters would be USA light worsted or Australian 8 ply). You will need 1 x 100 gram ball of Main Shade and 1 x 100 gram ball of Contrast.

Skill:
Intermediate. Written instructions provided. The outfit is edged with frills, so you will need some knitting experience in dealing with a large number of stitches.

Tension:
22 sts and 30 rows to 4 inches/10 cm (stocking stitch) on 4 mm needles or size needed to achieve stated tension.

Needles:
Sizes 3.25 mm and 4.0 mm (USA 3 and 6) straight needles. Longer length 3.25mm needed for the frill (or circular needed if preferred).
