Frost flowers form outside when the weather is freezing and when the ground has not yet frozen. Water in the stems of certain plants expands and extrudes out of the stem, freezing and forming beautiful crystalline flowers as it oozes out. Most times, frost flowers melt as the sun peeks out, or they hide elusively in shaded areas. The chunkiness of this cowl will keep the chill off your neck on those cold mornings when it’s freezing outside and you need an extra layer of warmth. The cowl is crocheted in the round and is an easy, fast and fun project, making it perfect for gifting.

13” (33 cm) wide, 9” (22.86 cm) tall
