Inspiration:
The Frosted Fields Hat was inspired by early winter walks across frost-kissed pastures—where stubbled grass blades sparkle under pale skies, and the hush of morning mist softens every sound. This design captures that quiet beauty in stitch form, blending gentle texture with a subtle, shifting motif reminiscent of wind-swept grass and hoar frost.

Construction:
Worked in the round from the brim up, this hat features a deep, stretchy ribbed brim for a snug and comfy fit. The body is shaped with a simple slip-stitch texture and gentle decreases that blend into the pattern, creating a crown reminiscent of a snowy hilltop.

Yarn:
Ideal in a woolly, rustic yarn with great stitch definition and warmth. The sample was knit in our own hand-dyed Bardic Blend of Cheviot and Aberfield fleeces —giving a naturally heathered look that evokes wintry fields at dawn.
