This is the third pattern of Romi’s 2013 Pins & Lace Club!

The Art Nouveau style has always been one of my very very favorites. I can stare for hours, and have been known to do so often (especially at the Paris Metro)! When I set out to design this shawl, I had a lovely two color garden fuchsia as my inspiration. Then my mind took over, and without consciously realizing it, I channeled the Art Nouveau and Deco aesthetic in the books I’ve been perusing of late.

The leaf motifs create the shape of the fuchsia flower in a two tiered semi-circle. Beads drip like dew across the upper skirt of the flower, draping across your shoulders in lovely silk.
