The Full Garden Hat is a double stranded colour work bottom up hat worked in the round. It has a folded brim, and you can modify the brim to be any kind or any length. The Body and Crown Sections instructions are ONLY charted. 

Sizes: baby, toddler (small child, adult 1, adult 2)
baby - head size 13 inches (33 cm) - hat knitted with 2 inches (5 cm) negative ease - hat’s height 7 inches (17.7 cm)
toddler - head size 17 inches (43 cm) - hat knitted with 2 inches (5 cm) negative ease - hat’s height 9 inches (22.8 cm)
small child - head size 19 inches (48 cm) hat knitted with 2 inches (5 cm) negative ease - hat’s height 9 inches (22.8 cm)
adult 1 (2) - head size 22 (24) inches (56 60 cm) hat knitted with 2 inches (5 cm) negative ease - hat’s height 11 inches (27.9 cm)

Gauge: 25 sts x 24 rnds = 4 inches / 10 cm stockinette stitch in the round with US 6 - 4 mm circular needles or the size of needles to obtain the gauge

Materials:

  • Needles US 4 - 3.5 mm 16 inch (40 cm) circular
    US 6 - 4 mm 16 inch (40 cm) circular US 6 - 4 mm DPNs or 32 inch (80 cm) circular for magic loop

  • Notions 4 makers, 1 marker to mark the beginning of the round, 1 tapestry needle

  • Yarn FINGERING WEIGHT - held double I used 118 g for an Adult 1 size and 40 g for a Baby size, both include pompoms

Abbreviations:
K – Knit
P – Purl
K2tog – Knit two stitches together (1 st decrease)
Ssk – Slip two stitches knitwise one at a time onto the right needle, move them to the left needle and knit two together through the back loop (1 st decrease)
