The main attraction of this modern oversized cardigan lies in its understated box shape, perfect for layering, and back, worked entirely in the lace pattern, reminding me of bunch of butterflies. The smoothness of the stockinette on the fronts and sleeves juxtaposes the intricacy of the lace.

The body of Giesel is knit flat in a single piece. The stitches for the sleeves are picked up along the armhole and worked in the round to the cuff.

The monochromatic colorways of Miss Babs Yummy 3-ply have a lot of subtle variations of color to add visual interest and depth to your knitted fabric while still keep the definition of the most intricate stitch pattern intact.

• German short-rows are used for sleeve cap and shoulder shaping. Knitters could use any other Short- Row method of their choice.
• Knitters may consider placing stitch markers between chart repeats.
• When choosing the size, take the sleeve circumference into account.
• A circular needle is used to accommodate a large number of stitches.
• Stitch pattern is charted and has written instructions.
