Gilot, a breezy top alternating wide and narrow stripes, separated by a delicate line of decorative stitches at each colour junction, is named in memory of the French painter Françoise Gilot, also known as the woman who said “No” (to Picasso). I designed Gilot for Nature´s Luxurys Knitting & Art Gourmet Retreat 2023.
This easy-going, sleeveless slipover with comfortable positive ease, makes a fabulous addition to you summer wardrobe. Gilot is worked seamlessly from the top down to the hem.

Gauge: 26 sts / 36 rows = 4” (10 cm) in stockinette stitch after soaking and light blocking with needle size US 2.5 (3.0 mm)

Differences in gauge, yarn choice as well as the length of the top influence the required amount of yarn.

Dieses lässige, ärmellose Top mit bequemer Mehrweite ist eine fabelhafte Ergänzung für jede Sommergarderobe!
Breite und schmale Streifen wechseln sich ab, wobei eine zarte Linie von dekorativen Maschen jeden Farbwechsel ziert. Gilot wird nahtlos von oben nach unten gestrickt.

Für Gilot habe ich mich für Sedalino entschieden, das für alle, die das angenehme, kühle Gefühl zu schätzen wissen, zum beliebtesten Sommergarn gewählt wurde. Benötigt werden ca.180 (200, 220, 240, 270, 300) m
von jeder der 4 Farben, wenn das Top in der abgebildeten Länge (42 cm) gestrickt wird.
Unterschiede in der Maschenprobe, in der Garnauswahl sowie in der Länge des Oberteils beeinflussen die benötigte Garnmenge.
