Both hat and scarf feature five shades of Berroco Comfort representing the five iconic colors of the games. A special kit from Jimmy Beans Wool also includes four USA Team Pins.

Both hat and scarf are advanced-beginner friendly. The scarf is worked in two halves, lengthwise, knit inward toward the center. The halves are joined with a three-needle bind-off.

The hat begins in the center red portion and is knit outward, flat, in two halves that are joined with a three-needle bind-off at the top. The brim is worked downward.
