Thank you to my lovely test knitters!!

Simple yet interesting knitting that will help to keep your tea warm. This cozy features an integrated base to help protect your tea-trolley or table surface.

The pattern is written as one size to fit a 4- 6 cup teapot when made with worsted or Aran weight yarn.

This pattern is a great place to showcase that 100g hank of handspun yarn.

The base is knit in the round on dpns or using the Magic Loop technique. The sides are knit flat and feature attached i-cord edges for lovely smooth edges. Finally, an i-cord tie gathers the top of the cozy together. Embellish the tie cord with a pair of pom-poms, or use a length of ribbon if you prefer.

The stiches and techniques used include: working in the round, working flat, ribbing, garter stitch, half brioche, welting, attached i-cord, regular i-cord, eyelettes, increases, decreases, and short rows.

This little cozy has lots of texture and minimal finishing, and don’t we all love that!
