These beautiful baby shoes are part of my stay-on range, they really do stay put! Grace is a lightweight summer shoe that feels like a sock but fits like a shoe. They slip on easily then the structured, elasticated ankle band keeps them on, while still being flexible and comfy. The Grace baby shoe is a relaxing, speedy knit with minimal finishing, they make a perfect baby gift. Also great for winter over tights or socks. My stay-on range has been tried and tested by over 2K knitters across Ravelry, Etsy and Love knitting.

The pattern has been technically edited, you will practise yarn overs, 3 stitch decreases, provisional cast-on, knitting in the round and Kitchener stitch. There are photo tutorials for all of the techniques plus photo and video stitch guides. The pattern has no seams and minimal finishing. Blocking is essential to relax the lace and give a professional finish.

Suggested Needles
US 3/3.25mm double-pointed needles OR 2 lots of 3.25mm 32in/80cm circular needles for magic loop method.

Notes
This pattern requires soft elastic for ankle casing.

The pattern was designed using a DK weight yarn. When choosing your yarn look for a rough gauge of 22 stitches, 30 rows to 10cm. Ball weight examples would be 50g (1.75oz) to a length of105m (115yds).

The Grace shoe comes in 5 sizes:

Birth to 6 wks, UK-00 / US-0, length 9cm
6 wks to 3 mths, UK-0 / US-1, length 10cm
3-6 mths, UK-1 / US-2, length 11cm
6-9 mths, UK-2 / US-3, length 12cm
9-12 mths, UK-3 / US-4, length 12.5cm

The fit is aimed at the upper-end size and age. For example, a 3-6 month shoe size is worked out on lengths and proportions of a standard 6 month foot.
