Gradient
Our pattern is a complete set of instructions and video tutorials, covering the entire process of creating the piece—from casting on to casting off.
The original video materials were created in Ukrainian, and translation into other languages is powered by artificial intelligence.
Before purchasing, we recommend visiting our YouTube channel to watch the publicly available videos in your language. This will help ensure that you are comfortable with the translation quality.
Access to all other video tutorials will be unlocked after purchase.
The videos serve as supplementary material to visually demonstrate the process.
Please Note the Difference in Terms
A pattern is a complete guide to a finished item with step-by-step instructions. It includes sizing, calculations, pattern pieces, knitting sequences, and final assembly instructions. Examples include a sweater, cardigan, top, hat, etc.
The gradient technique is a separate educational material that explains how to create a smooth transition between colors during knitting. It does not contain a full description of a finished garment, its dimensions, or instructions for knitting a specific model.
To avoid any confusion: this material is a standalone technique, not a garment pattern, and it does not replace a pattern. By adding this technique to your project, you can give it a unique character and a distinctive look.
What is Included
A written description of the gradient technique with a step-by-step guide to the color change sequence.
Video tutorials explaining the technique:
• how to create a smooth transition from one color to another;
• how to gradually replace strands of one color with strands of a new color;
• how to work with multiple strands held together;
• how to correctly switch yarn strands so that the transition between colors is smooth and even.
The Principle of Creating a Gradient
The gradient is created by gradually replacing yarn strands.
This technique works exceptionally well for the Luft T-shirt and Romber Cardigan models, but it can be applied to other projects as well.
Please note: to knit a specific garment, you must have the corresponding pattern. This material contains only the gradient technique and is not a complete garment instruction.
YOU WILL NEED
Yarn of any brand (kid mohair): 210–250 m / 25 g.
To create the gradient, you will need 5 yarn colors.
