This is the pattern for a granny square shopping bag. I do have this pattern available for free on my website if you would prefer that option. The link is down below, but I’ve made it available for people to download as well for $1 on Ravelry.

I’ve used 4 ply cotton and a 2mm crochet hook, but you can use different sizes depending on what you’re most comfortable with.

• 4 ply crochet cotton, it will need to be cotton not acrylic, so it doesn’t stretch. I used part of a ball of yellow for the centre, part of a ball of red, orange, blue, purple and pink for the flower part, 2 balls of green for the next part and allowed 4 balls of black for the outsides of the granny squares and to make up the bag.
• A crochet hook, I used a 2mm hook.
• A darning needle to weave in ends and stitch the granny squares together.
• Scissors.
