There is nothing more grounding than tree roots, and that is how you will feel in this oversized cardigan. Grounded is a boxy cardigan featuring a simple drop shoulder and cables that are reminiscent of tree roots and branches. This design is a modular knit. First the fronts and backs worked separately and are seamed at the shoulders. The cables running along the center fronts extend upward to create a large, decorative neckband that is grafted together at the back neck and seamed to the top of the back piece. The wide 3/4 length sleeves are then picked up and worked out from the body in the round. Finally, stitches are picked up around the bottom edge and the bottom cabled portion is worked downward from the body. I-cord edges are worked on the sleeves and bottom for a smooth edge.
