This chunky cardigan is named after the home of the Big Rocking Horse in South Australia.

It is designed to be a fun, quick, slouchy garment for knitters of all sizes. The unusual construction provokes different thinking about sizing and seaming.

NOTE: some maths is required! The pattern involves measuring yourself, swatching, and using that information to knit a garment that fits any knitter/ knitworthy recipient.

Materials
7-10 skeins of NNK Yarns Chunky (100g/70m, 80% superwash merino, 20% Nylon)
OR
5- 7 skeins of Malabrigo Rasta Super Bulky (150g/ 82m, 100% Merino)
OR
8-11 skeins of Rowan Big Wool (100g/ 80m, 100% Merino)
** for contrast cuffs & band, replace 1 skein

12mm & 15mm 80-100cm circular knitting needles
100cm waste yarn for provisional cast on
Notions: scissors, tapestry needle, stitch holder, measuring tape, gauge ruler.
Optional: 10mm crochet hook for seaming

Pru Raymond is a qualified educator and creative who has been knitting since childhood. Knitting is her daily mindfulness practice, a creative outlet and an act of craftivism. She looks forward to her knitting workshops as a space for people to expand social and neural connections through creating.
