This pattern will show you how to make a Hatching Chick Plushy. Feel free to get creative with the colors and customize the chick and egg to get the look you want.

I made mine using I Love This Cotton! Yarn for the beak and shell and Yarn Bee Lush Loft for the fuzzy chick. I used a size G (4.0 mm) crochet hook.

Gauge isn’t crucial as long as your stitches are tight enough to keep the stuffing in. I tend to crochet tightly, so you’ll probably want to go down a hook size if you’re a looser crocheter. As written, the chick is about 7.5” tall and about 4” wide.

You’ll also need safety eyes, fiberfill stuffing, a stitch marker, and a tapestry needle.
