Heading West is a medium size crescent shawl and is the final pattern in the “Change of Direction” collection. It’s meant to be easier for the knitter and warmer for the wearer.

The shawl is worked from the bottom up, started with a garter tab and is built up in three different sections: Cable, Basketweave and Garter. The size of each section is easy to change thus customizing the whole shawl.

The pattern is fully written and charted. The sample is made using a fingering weight (380 m/100g) 50/40/10% silk/merino/kid mohair blend.

The other patterns in the collection are:
Heading East shawl
Heading South hat
And Heading South Again gloves
For the time being I’m not heading North :-).
