A top-down seamless sweater with colorwork motifs around yoke and cuffs.

Sizes

  • 31 (33, 37, 39, 43, 46, 49, 52)
  • sizes are based on chest meausrement of finished garment in inches.
  • 0 to 3 inches / 0 to 7.5 cm positive ease is recommended.

Yarn Sport Weight

  • sample used Cloudborn Superwash Merino Sport Twist, color Oatmeal Heather (100% Superwas Merino Wool, 200 yards per 50 grams) for Yarn A, and Classic Elite Yarns Fresco , color Bittersweet (60% Wool, 30% Alpaca, 10% Angora) for Yarn B.
  • Yarn A – 1230 (1310, 1450, 1555, 1665, 1810, 1950, 2090) yards / 1125 (1200, 1325, 1425, 1525, 1655, 1785, 1915) meters.
  • Yarn B – 65 (70, 75, 80, 85, 95, 100, 105) yards / 60 (65, 70, 75,
    80, 90,
    95, 100) meters.

Needles

  • US #3 / 3.25 mm or change needle to obtain gauge in stockinette stitch after blocking.
  • Also, 1 size larger needle for colrowork.

Gauge

  • 24 sts x 34 rows = 4” x 4” / 10 cm x 10 cm in stockinette stitch with smaller needle
  • 30 sts x 28 rows = 4” x 4” / 10 cm x cm in colorwork with larger needle
  • Note: if only one set of gauge can be achieved, it is most important to have correct stitch gague in stockinette stitch.

Design

  • Round yoke style with V neck shaping.
  • Gentle roll along the edge of Front and Neck band.
  • Colorwork design around yoke and around cuffs.
  • Colowork design above cuffs.
  • Garter stitch for hem and cuffs.

Construction

  • Sweater is knitted from top down seamlessly.
  • CO at neck edge includes steek sts.
  • Work colorwork chart around yoke.
  • Increases are built into chart for both yoke and V neck shaping.
  • Cut steek after completion of chart at yoke.
  • Work flat to to underarm then to hem.
  • Work sleeves in round.
  • Pick up sts along front edgings for front band.
