This pattern was originally designed as a commission for a charity to raise money for ‘Cystic Fibrosis Trust’ in 2012 to enable knitters to knit the legwarmer and then sell them to raise money for this charity during a trampoline competition. The pattern was listed on my website (twigsknits) and also on Ravelry as a free download. It featured in UK knitting magazines and knitting campaign had national coverage here in the UK. The sales of these hand knitted leg warmers raised a lot of money for the charity.

Unfortunately, I have since found various ‘copies’ of this pattern for sale on Ravelry, where people have cut and pasted my pattern and published in their own pattern downloads, which has been very disheartening. Hence now, I have reluctantly changed the pattern to available to purchase. The proceeds of the the purchases for this download will be donated to Cystic Fibrosis Trust.

The yarn is chunky knit, and I would recommend that the leg warmers are knitted up in this yarn or a yarn of similar gauge to avoid disappointment.
