I have made this pattern several times for my grandchildren and it’s been much admired. It’s a comfortable fit for ease of movement and has a front neck fastening with pulling over little heads in mind. Instructions are given for sizes 6 months to 8 years. I usually make it in Debbie Bliss Rialto DK which is pure wool but you could use a substitute yarn with the same gauge although quantities needed may vary.
