Little darling, it’s been a long cold lonely winter, Little darling, it feels like years since it’s been here, Here comes the sun, Here comes the sun, and I say, It’s all right.
--George Harrison, The Beatles

When Spring arrives and Summer is near we lighten up our wardrobes. And, if you like to wear scarves but need something light and airy this scarf is for you!

Use your favorite warm weather yarn, such as cotton, linen, cotton/linen blends, silk or bamboo and crochet the perfect light, open and cool scarf. Crocheted sideways from tip to tip, the pattern is an easy four-row repeat and the decorative points are crocheted as you go. Then you will crochet a simple edging on one edge and you are done!

I used one skein of the Vijay fibers 100% mulberry silk sport-weight Serenade yarn, but any nice sport or DK weight Summer yarn will make a beautiful scarf. The 100% mulberry silk is very nice to work with and has a very cool feel to it, and is perfect for a warm weather scarf.

Note: The Vijay Fibers Serenade 100% mulberry silk is closest to a sport weight yarn. I’ve seen it listed as fingering or DK, but to me it’s a sport weight.
