Description - “High Rise” Brioche Hat
High contrast vertical stripes give this hat lux style. It is worked by alternating two contrasting colors each round, creating the 2 color Brioche Stitch. It loom knits quick with a bulky yarn and creates a plush but not overly bulky hat. This hat has unlimited color combination possibilities and can be worked with finer gauge looms and yarn. Brioche stitch is completely reversible with a light side and a dark side. Pattern instructions are given for the adult/teen hat only. It is up to the loom knitter to adjust for additional sizes.

Loom
-Pattern is written for/Sample is knit on the 36 peg, 3/4” large gauge round loom (ladies, teen, snug fit). Sample was knit on the Green Knifty Knitter Loom or equivalent.
-Pattern works on any round loom with an even number of pegs. You may use any gauge loom also, just make sure you use suitable yarn and determine proper number of pegs.

Level
Confident Beginner. Skills: Knit, purl, skip 1 wyif, pattern reading, gathered bind off, chain cast on. Videos are included for most of the skills needed for this pattern (Note: The pattern is not videotaped).

Size
The pattern is written for the adult ladies/teen hat but is easily adjusted by the loom knitter.
