Cuddle a hippo cushion! Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the hippo is knitted in acrylic DK yarns on single pointed needles (not in the round), and the tail is an i-cord tube knitted on two DPNs. Worked in stockinette stitch with simple increases and decreases, the cushion body is made from two panels of knitting which are sewn together. The head, tail and legs knitted separately and sewn on.

NEEDLES
A pair each of 4mm single pointed knitting needles and DPNs (US 6).

RECOMMENDED YARN
Sirdar Hayfield Bonus DK; double knitting/light worsted weight; 100% acrylic; one 100g/280m skein in each colour.

NOTIONS
Tapestry needle, toy filling and buttons for eyes.
