Hjalte is a Nordic boys name. It was the name of one of the legend king Rolf Krake’s warriors.

This is a sweater/pullover worked from the bottom edge and up with 2-colored pattern stripes. The sweater has a raglan yoke and sleeve construction. The Sweater has traditional rib edges. The pattern is made for at yarn with a gauge of 28 stitches per 10 centimeters (stockinette stitch) i.e. a yardage of approximate 200 meters per 50 grams.

Pattern includes directions for a size 3 months; 6/9 months; 12/18 months; 2 years; 3 years and 4 years with chest width 43, 47, 51, 55, 63 and 67 centimeters and a length of 27, 29, 32, 34, 37 and 42 centimeters.

This pattern is written for a knitter with medium skills, a knitter who is familiar with 2-color stranded knitting, a knitter who is able to follow written instructions, charts and work increases, decreases and pick up stitches.
