This is the child version (4-14 years) of Hjalte.

Hjalte is a Nordic boys name. It was the name of one of the legend king Rolf Krake’s warriors.

This is a sweater/pullover worked from the bottom edge and up with 2-colored pattern stripes. The sweater has a raglan yoke and sleeve construction. The Sweater has traditional rib edges. The pattern is made for at yarn with a gauge of 21 stitches per 10 centimeters (stockinette stitch) i.e. a yardage of approximate 115 meters per 50 grams.

Pattern includes directions for a size 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 and 14 years with chest width 73, 79, 84, 89, 100 and 105 centimeters and a length of 42, 46, 51, 54, 57, and 61 centimeters.

This pattern is written for a knitter with medium skills, a knitter who is familiar with 2-color stranded knitting, a knitter who is able to follow written instructions, charts and work increases, decreases and pick up stitches.

Materials: yarn, knitting needles and stitch markers.
