A bit of lace, some cables… Suitable for a morning in the market, an afternoon at the Green Dragon, or an evening in your smial.

This top-down three-wedge shawl is easily resized by repeating the Hobbit Day1 section, and can be made in any weight of yarn.

The pattern includes a chart for the main design and edging (the borders and spines are not charted), and fully written instructions.

The sample used 388yds of Valley Yarns Franklin (440yds/100g) in natural, on US4/3.5mm 24” circular needles, with a gauge of 5.5sts/in stockinette, blocked. Finished measurements (blocked and relaxed) are 41” wingspan, 15” center back, 20” spines
(immediately after unpinning, it had a wingspan of 45”)
