Holly Christmas headband
Crochet Pattern | PDF Download
The colours of Holly holler ‘Merry Christmas’. Earthy and warm, indicating festivity and celebration. Is there anything better than to sit near the fire, ensconced in the warmth of family, sipping hot chocolate and celebrate winters. A time to breathe in fresh sharp air and rest, recover and rejuvenate. This headband is inspired by the same feeling of warmth and I hope you enjoy making it as much as I did.

Tapestry needle, a pair of scissors, stitch marker and optional filler for berries (if using a thick yarn, you may not need filler).
Yarn used by the tester; Bouton d’Or Challenge & Bergère de France Barisienne both held double.
Please note that I have used a yarn that is on heavier side. If you use wool/ blended wool, the amount required is likely to be less. Out of above, keep 10% of yarn in green for leaves and rest for main headband and berries. The amount of yarn needed may vary if you choose to make a headband that tapers at the nape (Instructions in the pattern).
To make leaves and berries for infant sizes, use weight 2 yarn, for child sizes, use weight 3 yarn. For adult sizes, you can use weight 3, 4 or 5 yarn. Also, I have made slightly large leaves. Use yarn of lesser weight to make smaller leaves.
