HOLLY THE ELF TOY DOLL KNITTING PATTERNS

Holly is a little Christmas elf. Her hat and skirt have a picot trim and her hat is decorated with holly berries.

ABOUT THE PATTERN: The pattern has row numbers for each step so you don’t lose your place, instructions for making Holly, photos, a list of abbreviations and explanation of some techniques, a materials list and recommended yarns. The pattern is 5 pages and written in English.

TECHNIQUES: All pieces are knitted flat (back and forth) on a pair of straight knitting needles. You will need to cast on and off, knit, purl, work increases and decreases, knit stripes (change colour at the end of a row) and sew seams. The hat and skirt use a picot cast on, and instructions are included in the pattern.

YARN, NEEDLES & NOTIONS INCLUDE:

  • A pair of straight 3.5mm knitting needles (US 4)
  • Double knitting yarns (DK or light worsted weight); less than 30g in each colour
  • Beads for the eyes
  • Toy filling
