This is a pattern for a “long wingspan” crescent shaped shawlette. The bottom is enhanced by a lovely lace stitch that adds a wonderfully feminine finish to this piece. In addition, the bottom is also enhanced with beads, which are optional. The shawlette measures 68 inches at the widest points across the top and is 17 1/2 inches deep at the deepest point. It is made with heavy fingering weight yarn or sport weight yarn, on a size #6 (U.S.)/4.00mm needle. I have shown it in the pictures in just a couple of the many ways that it can be worn.

The pattern is both charted and written out line by line.

Skill Level: Intermediate (assuming a basic knowledge of lace knitting).

The sample was expertly pattern tested by Gay Fehr, who can be contacted at grf1956@ gmail.com. The yarn used in the sample is Lorna’s Laces Sportmate yarn, in colorway, Periwinkle.
