It seems strangely apt to be launching this pattern right now. I truly can imagine a better world, and it feels almost within reach…

You may say I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one

John Lennon, 1971

Imagine all the people
Living life in peace

This year marks the 40th anniversary of the death of music legend John Lennon. The Beatles frontman and all-round hero was shot dead outside his home in New York City on 8th December 1980, aged just 40.

As a tribute to him, and all the joy that his music has brought into our lives, I present “Imagine All The People”, an colourwork pullover in 9 adult sizes.

The colourwork motif is based on the Imagine memorial mosaic, in New York City’s Central Park. If you’d like to seek it out, you can find it in Strawberry Fields, which is just across from John Lennon’s former home in the Dakota Building on the Upper West Side.

Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world

Why not remind yourself of the full Imagine lyrics, here? This song is a tonic for our troubled times.

Construction
Imagine All The People is a top down, seamless knit, with a simple colourwork chart. This is a quick and straightforward design - the perfect soothing knit for these troubled times. An optional colourwork band adds emphasis at the hem.
