Delicate leaves fall through the Imprint of Autumn Scarf. The design pairs perfectly with self striping or gradient yarn to showcase gorgeous color changes, and adds just the right amount of warmth for when the weather starts to get cooler. The pattern is beginner friendly and easily adjustable. It’s simple enough to memorize, with just enough detail to keep things interesting.

Sample
Sample used Louisa Harding Yarns Amitola (light fingering weight; 80% wool/20% silk; 273yds/50g), 273yds/50g in 121 Thanksgiving

Yarn, Yardage, and Colors
The sample is shown in fingering weight but the pattern works well in anything from a lace to a DK weight. It pairs best with a self-striping, gradient, or solid yarn, as a variegated yarn will obscure the lace.

Instructions are included for working with 273-819yds/250-750m/50-150g of light fingering yarn, but the pattern is easily adjustable to work with any yardage.

Skills Required
ch, dc, sc, Counting rows and sts, Working into the ch-space, Working flat, Skipping stitches

Construction
The pattern is worked flat, in one piece. It can be finished with the last row, to keep it as a regular scarf, or seamed for an infinity scarf.

Modifications and Adjustments
Notes are included for adjusting the following: making the scarf wider/narrower; making the scarf longer/shorter

Overview of the Finished Object
The scarf is a rectangle, with lace cut outs that look like leaves running up the length of the scarf.
