The PDF includes colorwork charts and is recommended for EXPERIENCED knitters. It requires both duplicate stitch as well as colorwork while decreasing.

What You Need (AKA Materials and Tools)
• US size 7 circular needles (whatever length you’re most comfortable with, I used 14”) - you’ll
be knitting in the round
• US size 7 DPNs (4 of them)
• worsted weight yarn in white or another light color for the background (referred to as BG), black, magenta, and green
• yarn needle, for closing the top as well as the duplicate stitch sections
• crochet hook (optional, for weaving in ends)
• a stitch marker (optional, but recommended for marking the beginning/end of your rounds)

Gauge: 4 sts/in will give you an average adult, human-sized slouchy hat that is about 9” across and 11” tall. This hat will be slouchier on smaller heads and on larger heads may be more of a normal-style beanie. If you want to attempt a smaller size attempt dropping a needle size and/or using sport or DK yarn

Skills Needed
• knitting in the round (rnd)
• colorwork knitting
• duplicate stitch
