Irsia is one of the 12 designs that was released for the second edition of Indian Designers’ Collaboration.

Irsia which translates to “Rainbow” in Parsi, is exactly what this shawl represents. It’s the rainbow that shines through after the rains when the sun comes up and brings new hope to the world. All the colours in the shawl cannot but bring a smile to your face as you make it. This shawl is not a quick make, but it is an easy make which is to be savoured as you make it.

This crochet shawl can be made with all the leftover yarns from your stash. You can add as many colours as you like. Although the shawl shape is asymmetric, there is symmetry in pattern making which makes it a perfect project for a cold rainy day with your favourite cup of chai/ kapi.
