Jasmine Cozy Oven Mitt
Update 2025: An English version of the Jasmine Cozy Oven Mitt pattern has been added.
The PDF now includes both English and Korean instructions.
The Jasmine Cozy Oven Mitt is a modern yet cute oven mitt design.
This pattern is worked from the fingertips up and finished at the cuff.
First, you crochet Finger 1 (the main four-finger section) and Finger 2 (the thumb) separately, then join them together. Finally, you work the cuff.
The entire mitt is made with the jasmine stitch, and the jasmine flowers continue smoothly all the way to the rounded fingertips without breaking the pattern.
The first stitch and the last stitch are also joined in a way that avoids any visible seam, so the jasmine motif looks continuous all around.
The size of the mitt is not adjusted by changing the length of the puff stitches.
If the puffs are too long, small gaps appear between the stitches and heat can pass through when you hold something hot.
The sample is made with LittleMochi yarn and is sized to fit an adult woman with small hands.
If you want a larger size, use a yarn that is thicker than LittleMochi.
For this pattern, use a stuffed tubular fabric yarn.
Materials :
LittleMochi 3 balls (70g/1ball, Approx. 190g total), Color 01 or 09.
Hook :
4.0 mm crochet hook (US G/6)
Finished size :
approx. 11 cm wide × 14 cm long
Substitute yarns :
Kona (4 balls), Cloud (4 balls)
These yarns are thicker than LittleMochi, so the finished size may come out slightly larger than the sample.
Gauge :
This pattern is provided in one size only, and a specific gauge match is not required.
