Jenny Hat is simplicity and nostalgia. The garter stitch brim may be worn down or turned back for added style and the crown rounds coyly in either case giving the hat a distinct shape for ladies little or grown. With decreases worked evenly around the narrow brim there is a hint of scallop to the edge. Pattern includes suggestions for a wider brim also.
The hat is knitted large and fulled in the washer to the perfect size for the intended, using not quite four ounces of wool. Embellishments in the form of buttons, bows, needle felting and embroidery would be a welcome addition. Directions include an i-cord version as well.
