jig
jiɡ/ • noun - a lively dance with leaping movements.

You can easily make this hat more fitted by continuing with the smaller needles used for the cast on. Or give it a slouchier top by going up another needle size or too and working a longer length before beginning the crown decreases. Or for a more challenging mod, increase stitches in the purl sections (stitches 2 & 3 and stitches 20 & 21) to create a larger upper circumference. When it comes time for the crown decreases, decrease the number of extra stitches you added in the purl section before beginning the decreases written in the pattern.

The hat shown is the larger size worn by a model with a 24” head circumference. This size used 64 grams of yarn (approximately 148 yards).
