Get started knitting socks with this simple top-down pattern incorporating a super-stretchy cuff.

Joan’s Simple Socks have a cuff and leg worked in K2 P2 rib, and a heel flap done in basic heel stitch.

This pattern is available in two versions:

  • Detailed, with large print, lots of white space and extra hints and tips, or
  • Condensed, with small text and bare bones instructions, to save paper when printing.

Both pattern versions have the same instructions, so simply download the format that you prefer.

Errata 26 June 2008: The first version had a mistake in the toe shaping, where SSKs were swapped with K2togs. If you downloaded the pattern before 26 June 2008, please re-download the corrected version.
