Jolie Brise is a very light sweater, which warms pleasantly on cooler days or evenings of spring or summer. With its lightness, the sweater is a perfect companion that fits in every handbag and a must-have for every trip or excursion.

It´s best to be worked with two strands of a thin lace yarn held together like a blend of silk-mohair.

The sweater is worked from the top down to the hem. Started with the neckband, the upper yoke and the V-neck is completely shaped with short rows. The shoulder is formed working a combination of contiguous increases and raglan increases. Since lots of things are going on at the same time, it takes a bit of concentration on the upper yoke. When the yoke is completed, it is a very relaxing knit working stockinette stitch in the round down to the ribbed hem. Finally, the sleeves are worked in rounds down to the cuff. There is no finishing needed except weaving in the yarn ends.

Work it monochrome, add stripes or in color blocks as shown in the sample sweater on the photo. This project offers many possibilities to combine colors and stripes in different ways. So, have fun and create your own personal Jolie Brise!
