JOSH Bag

The JOSH Bag is a bold and modern felted shoulder bag worked from the bottom up.

The project begins with a rectangular base knitted flat, after which stitches are picked up along all four sides to continue working the body in the round in Stockinette stitch. Openings for the handles are created by binding off stitches on each side, and the handles are then worked flat before being joined with a small seam.

After knitting, the bag is felted in the washing machine, transforming the knitted fabric into a dense, durable textile that gives the bag its final structure and shape.

The stripe sequence creates a graphic, contemporary look while keeping the knitting simple and enjoyable.

Pattern Notes:
The pattern includes instructions for the optional I-cord edging around the bag opening.
The sample shown in the photos was knitted with this edging before felting and then trimmed after felting for a cleaner finish.

Sac JOSH

Le sac JOSH est un sac porté épaule en laine feutrée audacieux et moderne, tricoté du bas vers le haut.

Le projet commence par une base rectangulaire tricotée à plat. On relève ensuite les mailles sur les quatre côtés pour continuer à tricoter le corps en rond, au point jersey. Les ouvertures pour les anses sont créées en rabattant les mailles de chaque côté, puis les anses sont tricotées à plat avant d’être assemblées par une petite couture.

Après le tricot, le sac est feutré en machine à laver, ce qui transforme le tricot en un textile dense et résistant qui donne au sac sa structure et sa forme définitives.

Les rayures créent un look graphique et contemporain tout en rendant le tricot simple et agréable.

Remarques sur le patron :
Le patron inclut les instructions pour la bordure optionnelle en i-cord autour de l’ouverture du sac.
Le modèle présenté sur les photos a été tricoté avec cette bordure avant le feutrage, puis celle-ci a été coupée après pour une finition plus nette.
