While perusing a yarn shop (Knit Unique—Logan, Utah), I stumbled across a hank of Cascade’s Venezia yarn. I was looking for something to knit one of my sisters a Christmas presents out of, and I knew immediately that she would love the color and feel of the yarn.

After I’d bought it, I spent quite a while looking for the right cowl pattern for her, and when I couldn’t find it … I could stop myself from just casting on and swatching.

This simple cowl knits up quickly with only a small amount of yarn, perfect for last-minute gifts, or just knitting in front of the television. It works well with handspun, multicolored, and hand-dyed yarn: the more colors, the more appealing
