Inspiration:
I am always inspired by nature all around me. I live surrounded by evergreens, pines, spruces and junipers. Blessed to have quiet, private and green encircling my home, I have no needs for window drapery. I am surrounded by this green visual stimulant every day.

When purchasing the yarn, I did not have a clear picture of what it will become. One day, sitting on the sofa, looking out the window, it came…!!! I always admired embroidery, it’s so intricate and delicate. I wondered, (as hooligans do!), how can I insert a bit of embroidered feel into my knitting. Being a bit of a comfort knitter, I did not want to have to embroider the piece once I was done. I developed a pattern, working stranded, to incorporate the motif at the same time.
Working the elongated stitches into different points of my stockinette stitch background, did the trick.
It has the feel I was looking for….I hope you enjoy.
