An Australian knitter requested that I design an Australian animal. Kangaroo Joey is knit in-the-round, using Magic Loop or double pointed needles. The four legs and body are all knit on as you go. Freely standing approx. 10” tall (without the ears), Joey is worked in worsted wt. (Aran/10-ply) yarn, using approx. 170 yds. As little children enjoy stuffing their pockets with things they find, little Joey has a pouch she has filled with flowers that have caught her eye as she merrily hops along.
