Kastanje is the Danish word for chestnut. Kastanje is my design number 100 on Ravelry. I have chosen to celebrate this with you by offering the pattern for Kastanje for free.

Kastanje is lace socks worked in the round from the cuff and down.

This pattern is made for at yarn with a yardage of approximately 210 meters per 50 grams and a 30 stitch gauge per 10 centimeters (lace pattern). The directions is a combination of written text and chart. The socks pictured is a size small worked in hand dyed merino sock yarn (80/20) - dyed with walnut and indigo.

Pattern includes 3 sizes small (medium, large). Circumference (foot): 20½-22 (22-23½, 23½-25) centimeters. (Danish shoe sizes 35/37 (38/40, 41/43)).

The pattern is written for a knitter with medium skills, a knitter who is able to follow a lace chart, work in the round, follow written instructions and pick up stitches and work increases and decreases.

Materials: yarn, knitting needles and stitch markers.

The pattern does not include finished items yarn etc. The pattern only includes instruction for knitting the socks.
