Katinka is a pair of supershort supertight cabled fingerless mitts. They have a unique construction which requires some extra skills apart from casting on, knitting, purling and binding off:

  • provisional cast on
  • knitting in the round
  • cabling, preferably without a cable needle
  • picking up stitches
  • increasing
  • decreasing
  • a general idea of the anatomy of a glove

Size S/M fits a palm circumference of about 16,5cm/ 6.5’’, size M/L about 19 cm/ 7.5’’.
Row gauge is not critical.

Please do not try to knit Katinka as your first pair of mitts/ gloves or your first cable knitting project! This pattern is intended for advanced knitters!
