One of my favorite things about knitting is when a finished object looks amazingly complex, but it was really fairly straighforward to knit. These fingerless gloves certainly acheive that - although it looks like brioche, it is really a simple 1x2 rib, with some increases and decreases thrown in to keep things interesting.

These mitts feature a fully formed thumb gusset, and a very stretchy fit, which means that they will fit a wide variety of hand sizes. Pattern is charted only, and uses roughly 40g of light fingering weight yarn, perfect for using up partial skeins.

These mitts are inspired by Annette Kellermann, a pioneering swimmer.
