Lily-of-the-valley is one of my favorite lace stitches. Easier to work than some of the other traditional Estonian stitch patterns, it creates stunning shapes with very basic increases and decreases (CHART ONLY). The Kielo wraps can be worked in just about any weight of yarn; here the crescent sample is worked in a luscious merino fingering (about 510 yards) while the stole is shown in a gossamer lace weight (about 850 yards).

The simple garter stitch background in this design makes the sculptural quality of the lily-of-the-valley pattern stand out while adding texture to both sides of the wrap. For additional texture, beads and traditional nupps have been added throughout the lace in the two samples. These embellishments can be added interchangeably all over or to just some of the lace bands, and the design will be just as effective without them.
