“Kings & Queens ”
This pattern has been created as part of the KAL patterns for designs inspired by Game Of Thrones and worked in conjunction with Honey Girl Farms yarn.

My inspiration for it has come from the cloak that was put around the shoulders of the House Lannister brides before their weddings. In the series it was a very dull and heavy item that to me represented the weight of what their situation was putting upon their shoulders. I wanted to create something that instead was light and pretty as a wedding item should be.

It’s a semi circular shawl using 2 shades of yarn but could easily and effectively be made with a single colour if desired.

Its an easy knitted piece, although the looped picot cast off is time consuming with a large number of stitches that may seem daunting, but will, I hope reward you for your effort.
