Kith & Kin is a generously sized linen stitch cowl perfect for marling your favorite highly variegated sock yarn with a cloud of Mohair / Silk Gossamer. Linen stitch is fantastic for breaking up pooling in high-contrast skeins of hand-dyed yarn, and marling with Gossamer covers the entire piece in a fog of its color and gives unifying cohesion to the color scheme.

Yarn Barker Wool
1 skein of Fern in KITH2020 and 1 skein of Gossamer in Steadfast.

When selecting colors remember that the Gossamer will have a profound effect on the resulting color of the cowl. Choose a neutral Gossamer to calm down a bright fingering weight skein, or be bold with a bright color fog layered over a more neutral skein. Pairing neutrals together will lend sophistication, while pairing brights will make a confident color statement.
